This has been our second visit and the weather has been almost perfect! Much better than last time. However what has been a constant for both stays has been the hospitality of Eirlys and Paul. Wonderful holiday yet again! Ninth time! Visited Bro Megan Gardens, just up the Fishguard road – so peaceful, Cae hir over by Lampeter way – what a colourful Garden! A must see was the shell House at Boncath (Thursdays only). Hope we can make it 10 times next year to see the spring flowers down the lanes, so beautiful. Watch out for the Red Kites in the trees to the right of the bottom field!

We had a lovely mini break, with our 8 month old son. The cottage is lovely and had everything we needed for our son. We had beautiful weather and went on day trips to Tenby and Dinas Island, both well worth the visit. We loved seeing the dogs. Thanks for the delicious welcome cake and flowers. We wish we could have stayed longer, however we will return. Many Thanks

The Lambie Family. Bucks

The cottage was lovely and everything that it said in the brochure. It is in a particularly good location for exploring all parts of Pembrokeshire. We would recommend Marloes Sands and Broad Haven Beaches (free parking if you are a National Trust Member) even if there is a blanket of cloud everywhere it is amazing how these beaches can be in the sunshine!! If you have to take the kids to Oakwood make sure you arrive very early and book online if possible to avoid the main queue. Also, bring a packed lunch if you want to avoid further expense! Carew castle was lovely and particularly good for the kids if they have their archery and sword fighting displays. The boys will miss the doggies! Thank you for your hospitality. Best wishes

the Elliott family. Sherborne Dorset

We have all very much enjoyed our week in Y Cartws. Paul and Eirlys (and Ben and Bess) have been excellent hosts. The cottage has been an excellent base from which to explore the area. Skomer Island and playing in the beaches at Tenby being especially memorable. The cottage itself has been perfect for us, comfortable and relaxing. We have enjoyed watching life on the farm and the boys have enjoyed the company of the dogs! Maesyfelin is a special place and the Williams family are very lucky people.

The Spencer family, Norfolk

The cottage is lovely, so clean and comfortable, well equipped a real home from home, such peaceful surroundings, a world away from South East London. The Williams family were so welcoming and friendly. We especially enjoyed the “Bara brith” DIOLCH YN FAWR IAWN!!! The children had fun playing with Bess and Ben and seeing farm life close up in action. Best of all was having a go on the quad bike. All in all a brilliant holiday.

The Felstead family, Orpington Kent

We really enjoyed our 2 week holiday at this cottage. It had everything we needed, was very clean and comfortable. The location was great! Near lots of places, we loved Narberth a town with real character and lovely independent shops. We enjoyed great days out at Folly Farm, Broad Haven and Newgale beaches, Gwili steam railway and Colby woodland gardens. The Williams family made us so welcome and the children loved feeding the hens (and enjoyed eating their eggs too) and watching the sheep not to mention playing with Bes. Thanks for the lovely cake, flowers and milk.

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely quiet farm with us Paul and Eirlys it has been quite magical here. You have done an excellent job with the cottage, it is so light, airy and comfortable. Such a variety of Castles we have visited, Manobier most romantic! There are so many wonderfulcoves and bays to see we realy enjoyed them all, especially Wisemans Bridge, walking through tunnels to Saundersfoot, wonderful beach. Tenby North beach was stunning. Fantastic coastal walks Abereiddy and Porthgain. The blue lagoon was so beautiful, a very beautiful area to explore, we will be recommending Y Cartws to all!! p.s. After 40 years of self catering holidays this is one of the best cottages ever, everything you could possibly want. Thank you

The Allworthy family, Suffolk

We arrived with some pre conceived ideas about Wales, being told that the Welsh people are rudeand have a “cool” relationship with the English. Well I can say how WRONG that statement is. The welcome we received was charming, the people are really friendly, always willing to answer and offer any help, in order to help your stay one to be remember. The accommodation is first class, with all the amenities and much more. Y Cartws is positioned within easy reach of any part of Pembrokeshire. Eirlys and Paul are just so friendly, we even got fresh eggs as well as a cake! We will come back one day, really REALLY enjoyed our stay, Thank you

The Middleton-Duff family, Burry

We’ve had a fabulous week with a nice mix of weather. We fell in love with the dogs who love to play ball! I was fed up with throwing the flat scraggy football, so I bought them a new dog ball from Tenby! Their wagging tails were a nice welcome home at the end of a pleasant day. (no feet up until we had 10 minutes of ball throwing to the dogs). The cottage is delightful and the sheep very “Welsh” and we couldn’t have found a better place in all of Wales. So many thanks to Eirlys and Paul for sharing their little piece of Wales with us.

The Burrows family, Yorkshire

Many thanks to Eirlys,Paul and family for another lovely holiday at Y Cartws, despite the poor weather which seems to follow us around the world! The cottage is so spacious and well equipped and the welcome received second to none. Thank you so much Paul for letting us help with the sheep work, we had an absolutely super time! We all enjoyed playing football with Magi and Bess. I hope the next visitors enjoy their holiday as much as we have.

Thank you for our lovely holiday. Despite the weather Bess and Magi gave us something to do everyday and we fell in love with them instantly because of their enthusiasm to play in all weathers. We loved the fresh eggs from the chickens, on the fist day we even saw buzzards and red kites in the fields and lots of amazing bats at night! The cottage has been perfect, will be recommending to all our friends and neighbours, Perfect location!

The Rhodes family, Tyne and Wear
